A Little Bit about the Company

        Middle C Productions is a privately run music studio that originated in Bedford, NS. 

We are now located in beautiful Indian Harbour just 10 minutes from World Famous Peggy's Cove!  We offer semi-private, group and private lessons.  All  lessons are set up by terms. (see fees under Registration in side bar).

        The teacher, Andrea Ritcey, is experienced, enthusiastic, musical, committed and fun. Andrea has 2 degrees in music from Acadia University in Wolfville, NS,  and has taught music in every form for over 37 years.   Andrea has taught in several public schools both conducting bands in Junior Highs as well as teaching elementary music  and conducting a 75 member choir. She has led huge concerts with children of all ages. She has experience performing both vocally and instrumentally; through her vocal group Spirit Rising, at weddings, hockey games, private birthday parties, on her trombone with Symphony NS, NS Youth Orchestra and PEI Symphony.  Andrea has worked as a clinician for years with hundreds of students, as a Public music school teacher for 17 years, and as a private instructor since 1988. She has been hired as a back up vocalist for local musicians in recording studios, has been on TV many times with her music and has performed for commercials. She has now added actress to her list as she performed lead roles in several dinner theatres!

Currently she has 3 cds, one of which she is well known for locally and abroad; her Christmas Album. She sings. She plays piano. She plays guitar, trombone, and many other instruments.  Her passion is her music, and on any given day you might find her either in the recording studio, working on another cd, rehearsing with her music group Spirit Rising, or teaching children and adults in either private lessons or a group setting. You are guaranteed a great time and learning success with Andrea.  

Andrea's philosophy is  "If one can pass on the incredible gift and joy of music making then it should be shared! "  (Music is a profound art, and it is exhilarating to watch people of all ages grow, develop and thrive from the music they digest.)  You will always find Andrea humming and smiling.  Parents and students alike always say  "We have fun here at Middle C Productions!".....
